With a background in media, my career has spanned press, radio and TV. More latterly, I crossed into online B2B, building trading exchanges in Food and Drink, then Newspapers and Magazines.

From IPO to business start-ups

My central involvement in taking a major regional newspaper publisher to the stock market, helped hone my commercial writing skills. This created a perfect springboard into a series of new business launches and, my appreciation of the challenges facing most start-up operations.

Without question SMEs get a tough deal; raising capital, hiring resource, acquiring premises, developing technology - it's an exciting yet endless merry-go-round of challenges, which I find weirdly fulfilling. Mouth Piece consulting provides the small business with a bigger voice!

For many years I was an industry speaker for the regional press, representing the sector at a time of great change, presenting at conferences across Europe and the US.​ Today I apply this ability across many diverse sectors to make a powerful stand through the written word.

Life re-set

The pandemic forced a re-set to the way we all work and, video conferencing has quickly become an accepted and effective way to communicate. This allows me to live a more tranquil life in rural France, enjoying the benefits of peace and quiet and a favourable climate, coupled with the technology to participate in the daily cut and thrust of commerce.
